Meet Dr. Hajee
Dr. Feryal Hajee is a board-certified immunologist and allergist in Little Silver, New Jersey. Born in London to Pakistani parents, golden milk has always been a staple in their household. Traditionally used for relief of sinus congestion or coughing, it has been passed down from many generations. To this day, she continues to use it with her family and children, especially as supportive therapy during colds. So when the COVID pandemic occurred, it was only natural to suggest this to her patients.
Patients in her office loved it! They felt relief from many of their symptoms and it became an immediate hit. As the demand grew stronger, she knew she had to make this available to the public. From her home to yours, we hope you enjoy this delicious cozy cup of joy!
what is golden milk?
Golden milk, or “haldi dhood”, is a delicious mix of milk, turmeric and other spices. Sweetened with a little honey, it is often used as an alternative to tea. It has an abundance of health benefits. Native to India, it is commonly used in households for its antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. Studies have shown that it may be helpful in inflammation, sinus congestion, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, heart disease and more. Golden milk can be used daily or as needed for acute needs.
